This and That!

Home Curd vs Set Curd from supermarkets / booths

Being used to making curd at home, I was taken by surprise when I actually had to purchase it over the counter when I fell short of it having invited a few guests for Lunch.

Thats when, the price difference between investing in Home made curdled curd vs Set curd from the markets set me thinking!!

I had done this survey a year ago while half a litre Milk was Rs. 10.50/- and the same half a litre of Set curd happened to be Rs. 27/-! What a leap between Rs. 10.50 and Rs. 27/-. All one needs to do is to boil n cool the milk down to a slight finger-touch warmth, before adding a spoon of that days curd, to help curdle for the next day. This process will not take you more than 7 or 8 minutes when you keep a close monitor on the right temperature and curdle it. There you saved upto Rs. 16 just like that!

Think about it!!
